The energy level and crowd will make it tough for any team to win in the Golden State and if the Warriors play any type of defense they can make the playoffs. The 8th seed is up for grabs and the Warriors have enough talent to snatch it. The off season move for David Lee and Louis Amundson will definitely help up front, if Biedrins gets injuried again this season. All the Warriors centers are talented and play hard, which will hopefully lead to victories. Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry are undersized, but if they can get on the same page look out. The problem with the Warriors under Don Nelso was all offense and no defense. Hopefully a new coach will bring a different approach and get this team to the playoffs.

  • Back Court:
Stephen Curry is coming off a great a summer playing for team USA. Anytime you have chance to learn from great coaches and players you have to take it. Look for Curry to have a breakout year and become a big focus for the Warriors on offense. Monta Ellis needs to start the season off with a bang or will likely be traded. If Ellis can co-exist with Curry then the Warriors have a shot to make the playoffs. Otherwise look for Ellis to be on the trade block because Curry is the centerpiece of this team. Reggie Williams showed he can score in bunches last season, but unless he plays defense he likely won't see a lot of minutes. Charlie Bell is a defensive minded player who will see minutes when they need a stopper. Jeremy Lin will likely not see a lot of minutes unless the Warriors lose a lot of games. Lin is a solid playmaker who has a great jump shot, but the question is can he guard point guards? Over the summer is outplayed John Wall, but that will likely not earn him a lot of minutes this season.

  • Front Court:
The Warriors have a lot of talented forwards who can bring energy on the court and will helpfully help them on defense. Andris Biedrins should be healthy and back starting at center. Biedrins isn't a scorer, however he rebounds and blocks shots exactly what the Warriors need. They likely overpaid David Lee  The Warriors probably overpaid David Lee, but he has shown to be productive in fast break offenses. Lee will go back to playing power forward this year and that will help him on the defensive side. Louis Amundson will be the back up and he'll do all the little things to get major minutes. Amundson can finish around the basket, defend, rebound, and brings a ton of energy. Dorell Wright will likely start at small forward because he's the best perimeter defender on the team and can shoot from long distance. Brandan Wright has shown talent and needs to put it all together this season.

I believe the Warriors are on the raise, but it'll be atleast one more season before they make the playoffs. They have all the talent in the world on offense, but it'll be there defense that decides how far they go this season. With the Suns and Nuggets in turmoil, you never know the Warriors might just sneak into the playoffs.
